Easy Dirt Cup Treats Kids Can Make

Kids could make and serve these dirt cup treats as part of a construction themed party, garden party, Ground Hog Day celebration, or a woodland-themed party. These dirt cups could even be used as a silly (but delicious) April Fool’s Day prank! We made these dirt cup treats just before spending the afternoon in the garden planting peas, onions, and lettuce seeds. Later, we read several garden themed story books together. Fun!

First, invite the kids to fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 of the way with chocolate pudding. Next, the kids can add a layer of chocolate cookie crumbs. To make the cookie crumbs, add a few chocolate cookies to a zipper top bag, and invite the kids use a rolling pin to crush them!

Lastly, add a few gummy worms to complete the treat!

Optional — For a personalized “seed marker” look, add a large craft stick with the recipient’s name written in black marker.

Serve immediately, and enjoy!
