This morning I visited NBC’s studios in Philadelphia for a quick demo of some FUN Winter crafts using items most households already have on-hand — the perfect cure for cabin fever! Dawn and I had so much fun on The 10! Show, and we featured crafts for kids of all ages!!
In case you missed today’s show, here’s a clip of the segment with links to each project below.
Snowman Vase
Snowflake Painting
Easy Snowflake Sun Catchers
Low-Mess Color Collage
Have fun crafting with the kiddos!!
Valerie, where can I find canvas board? About how much does it cost?
Hi Tera! Wal-Mart carries canvas boards in packs of 3 or 5 (depending on the size) for around $1 (maybe $2??) in the kids art section. You can easily substitute with corrugated cardboard instead. Hope this helps! Have fun!! xoxo
I wasn’t sure if you had seen this post (http://bluefield5.blogspot.com/2011/01/frame-worthy.html). I found “acrylic paper” at a craft store for our version. Thanks again for the inspiration!
Love the clip! Great job as always! π
Thanks, Leah!! π
Awesome crafts!
Thanks, Anya! Have fun!!
Great job! I love the masking tape snowflake! I love all your fun ideas, I just took down our fall leave tree as it started to snow here (Iowa). I have a similar question to above. Where do you find contact paper? And how much does it cost?
I’m so happy to hear you’ve been enjoying our little bloggy blog! You can find contact paper at Target with the shelf liners. A large roll is around $5, and lasts for a long time. We always have some on-hand! Hope this helps!!
That snowman looks super cute – maybe we will make him this season. It’s so exciting that non-bloggers can learn from your ideas too.
If I want to creep Mark out, I put the snowman vase in the bathroom. Seriously, it does make for a nice air freshener if you put pine branches in it. π
Great ideas!I’ve seen the masking tape/paint idea before but not as a snowflake. Thanks.
It’s lots of fun!!! Enjoy!! π
Loved the segment on The 10! Show.
Great ideas that I am going to be doing with my lil guy!!!
Thanks!
Have fun, Meghan!! xoxo
These are great ideas! I love them all! Exactly like you said, can be done with stuff at home. And great way to use a puff container! π
Thanks, Jackie! I love using things most households already have on-hand. It’s frugal and better for the environment!
