Cherish them!! π
Dear Valerie,
βGood moms have sticky floors, messy kitchens, laundry piles, dirty ovensβ¦. and happy kids.β
Wow, we must have REALLY happy children. π
Love,
Mark
Too true. Thank you for the reminder π
Wonderful, print-for-around-the-house-worthy quotes!! Love them! I would like to use these on my quotes blog – are each of them attributed to Richard L. Evans? Either way, I’ll link back to this post under his name to thank you for them! And there’s that sweet hubby again, leaving a funny comment – y’all are too cute!! π
As far as I know, the other quotes are popular sayings that aren’t attributed to anyone in particular. They are some of my absolute favorite parenting quotes — print for around the house is a GREAT idea!! π Thanks so much for linking!
Okay, thanks, I used it here: http://quotesforamothersheart.blogspot.com/2011/08/speak-your-childrens-language-spend.html (Wow, that’s a long link!)
A quick search revealed that the quote is used as a book title, so I went ahead and attributed it to the authors just in case, but thanked you and linked back here as well.
Your post is making so many mothers smile!
LOVE this post. Great reminder for us to slow down and cherish our children. I love how the photos correspond to the quotes too. π
B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Photos and words!
Don’t worry, my kids are REALLY happy too π LOL!
Hahahahahahha!!!
Somehow my Mom managed to give me all the time and attention I could have ever wanted, and still kept our world orderly, and neat – I’ll happily settle for your definition of a “good mother”, but secretly, I’ll always be trying to live up to her example.
What a sweet thing to say about your mom!!
I’m LOL at Mark’s comment!
Great post!
Love the pictures and words. Mark’s comment made me laugh though. You do have very happy girls!
My kids must be INCREDIBLY loved then too.
LOVE IT!
HAAAA!!! Yay for REALLY well-loved kids! LOL π
Absolutely love this post! They are to be treasured with our hearts, hands and time. And read with them!!
xoxo michele
got tears in my eyes! thank you and I agree I’m printing these for my eyes to come across more regularly all around our home. π
Your daughters always look so happy! Love this post!
That first picture is tremendous. Also thank Valerie for this reminder. π Time spent what a priceless gift.
Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration. π
I love every one of those quotes. Oh, and the tree photos are all AMAZING!
Beautiful! That was my thought when I decided to take Anna to a park we haven’t been to before. The other kids have already went back to school, but hers doesn’t start ’til the 26th. I figured I should make the most of this time together – one on one! It really makes a difference.
I have “happy” kids, too. Unfortunately, my husband is does not have the same definition of happiness ;). The battle continues. I linked up to this post today. Thanks for an awesome reminder of what is really important.
Amen!
Love this!
Those are some awesomely amazing trees…totally jealous…we try to climb trees…but we don’t find any good ones!
What a great post… and so important. I’ve been reminded all week about the special of children. One my friend’s kids is in critical condition from an infection. It has made me really stop and think about spending every moment I can enjoying that stage of life.Sometimes you just have to be reminded to stop and enjoy the gift you’ve been given. thanks for this post… and what a sweet family you have.
