Cherish Them

“To a child, ‘love’ is spelled T-I-M-E.”

“Good moms have sticky floors, messy kitchens, laundry piles, dirty ovens…. and happy kids.”

“To be in your child’s memories tomorrow, you have to be in their lives today.”

“Children will not remember you for the material things you provided, but for the feeling that you cherished them.” Β — Richard L. Evans

Cherish them!! πŸ™‚

  1. Dear Valerie,

β€œGood moms have sticky floors, messy kitchens, laundry piles, dirty ovens…. and happy kids.”

Wow, we must have REALLY happy children. πŸ˜‰

  2. Too true. Thank you for the reminder πŸ™‚

  3. Wonderful, print-for-around-the-house-worthy quotes!! Love them! I would like to use these on my quotes blog – are each of them attributed to Richard L. Evans? Either way, I’ll link back to this post under his name to thank you for them! And there’s that sweet hubby again, leaving a funny comment – y’all are too cute!! πŸ™‚

  4. LOVE this post. Great reminder for us to slow down and cherish our children. I love how the photos correspond to the quotes too. πŸ™‚

  5. B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L. Photos and words!

  6. Don’t worry, my kids are REALLY happy too πŸ˜‰ LOL!

  7. Somehow my Mom managed to give me all the time and attention I could have ever wanted, and still kept our world orderly, and neat – I’ll happily settle for your definition of a “good mother”, but secretly, I’ll always be trying to live up to her example.

  8. I’m LOL at Mark’s comment!

    Great post!

  9. Love the pictures and words. Mark’s comment made me laugh though. You do have very happy girls!

  10. My kids must be INCREDIBLY loved then too.

    LOVE IT!

  11. Absolutely love this post! They are to be treasured with our hearts, hands and time. And read with them!!

    xoxo michele

  13. Your daughters always look so happy! Love this post!

  14. That first picture is tremendous. Also thank Valerie for this reminder. πŸ™‚ Time spent what a priceless gift.

  15. Beautiful! Thanks for the inspiration. πŸ™‚

  16. I love every one of those quotes. Oh, and the tree photos are all AMAZING!

  17. Beautiful! That was my thought when I decided to take Anna to a park we haven’t been to before. The other kids have already went back to school, but hers doesn’t start ’til the 26th. I figured I should make the most of this time together – one on one! It really makes a difference.

  18. I have “happy” kids, too. Unfortunately, my husband is does not have the same definition of happiness ;). The battle continues. I linked up to this post today. Thanks for an awesome reminder of what is really important.

  19. Amen!
    Love this!
Those are some awesomely amazing trees…totally jealous…we try to climb trees…but we don’t find any good ones!
