Now is the perfect time for some quick weekend sewing projects. Here are some frugal handmade gift ideas for the littlest ones on your holiday list!
I used this free pattern from Stardust Shoes to make several pairs of cloth baby shoes as gifts, and it is one of my favorites! Aren’t they just the cutest??
This free tutorial for felt rattle blocks from My Poppet is perfect for beginners — they can be sewn by hand.
I love this free crinkle square tutorial from Joy’s Hope! The perfect quick and easy handmade gift!
The pattern for this lovely diaper bag is also free, and can be found at Make Baby Stuff.
And of course I had to include my own free tutorial to make Baby Bibs from Old Jeans — Enjoy!

That diaper bag looks fantastic! I’ll have to check it out =)
Have fun!! 🙂
What wonderful ideas. I just made a crayon roll up for two birthdays a super cute and easy craft. I love the blocks!
Yay! That’s a great gift idea!!
Oh, to have a baby again to fill such tiny shoes…*sigh*…
I know what you mean… just looking at them almost makes me wish I had another. ALMOST!! 😉
I love Make Baby Stuff, I’ve perused it before myself but missed the cute bag! I don’t have to whip anything up just yet, my BIL and SIL are expecting in the Spring as you know. But those shoes are so darn cute, I hope I can learn how to sew well enough to make them some!
There are so many neat projects on Make Baby Stuff!
I thought the tutorial for the shoes is one of the most straight-forward patterns, and they are super cute! Have fun!!
Such cute baby things. Wish I learned to sew when my kids were babies.
My SIL just had a baby boy in Oct…. I had almost forgotten how much fun it is to make baby things!!
