Here’s a free printable for preschoolers that works as a great boredom buster, especially for kids who love to draw or play with play dough! These bakery play mats let kids decorate cupcakes and cookies however they would like. Keep the sheets in a binder, and you’ll have an instant (and free) play mat booklet — perfect for “quiet time”!
To make your own bakery play mat booklet, you will need:
-
A printout of the free printable bakery play mats. (scroll down for the links below)
-
Sheet Protectors
-
3 Ring Binder
-
Wipe Off Crayons — We love these Learning Mat Crayons by Melissa & Doug!
-
Play Dough (optional)
Print out as many sheets of the free printable play mats as you would like. We did two of each, and this kept my 5 year old happily occupied for a long time! Insert the play mats into sheet protectors, and add to a binder.
Invite your child to decorate the cupcakes and cookies however they would like using wipe-off crayons!

The wipe-off crayons can easily be removed from the sheet protectors using a wet paper towel. Allow the page to dry, then decorate your bakery treats again (and again)!

Have fun!!
