Holiday Craft for Kids – Recycled Wreath

Today’s holiday craft for kids is sponsored by our friends at Crayola, and it’s so much fun to make! As soon as I set out the washable paint, Clara squealed with joy and ran to find her craft apron — a sure sign that this project was going to be a huge hit with her! She was so proud of how it turned out, and was so happy to see it on display in our kitchen.

Oh, and Crayola offered to sponsor a super fun giveaway too! Details below…

Holiday Craft for Kids -- Recycled Wreath

To make a recycled wreath of your own, you will need: an empty oatmeal canister, Crayola washable paint, a paint brush, and scissors. Start by cutting off the bottom of the oatmeal canister, then making cuts around the top and bottom, but leaving a solid strip in the middle, as shown.

Next, open up the wreath, and invite your child over to paint it up with plenty of green paint!! You may want to add some white paint as “snow” too.

Crayola’s glitter glue is not required, although it is highly recommended for an extra festive touch!
