Do you wish mini-golf was a year ’round activity?? Want to play in your own living room?? The girls and I had LOTS of fun playing “carpet golf” using some things we already had on-hand — plus it can be reconfigured again and again!
We used a bath sheet for the putting green, and I cut up a shaggy bath mat using kitchen shears to make the course. It was fun to watch the girls come up with a different course just by rearranging the pieces of bath mat!
The “golf clubs” were made of rolled up newspaper and masking tape on the handles. We used little tennis balls found in the pet section of Target, since they are soft and roll easily. They had such a great time playing this!!
Added bonus points for doing a rock star dance after each round!!
Have fun!!
Dear Valerie,
+1 for golfing in PJ’s.
Love,
Mark
Totally. 😉
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOOOOO CUTE
Fantastic! Love their faces =)
Love silly expressions. How fun to have a mini golf at home.
So glad to see that your children have gotten over their camera-shyness. ;o)
HAAAA!!!!
Rock star dances are quite necessary.
TOO friggin cute!!!! I can’t wait to have indoor golf day! They will really think I’m cool now….awesome!
I love the cute faces but I love you chopping up your bath mat more!
Very cute idea! I’ll bet you could use cat toy balls instead of tennis balls if you happened to have some of those. I thought of that because I have a bunch of those that my cat, of course, never plays with (it’s so much more fun to play with lint or in boxes – lol)!
They are actually very small tennis balls, about the size of a golf ball (made for tiny dogs, I think??) Cat toys would work well too! Our cats love playing w/ milk rings and paper bags, and hardly ever play with any of the actual cat toys they have. 🙂 Have fun!!
I’m going to use this idea for “ice hockey’. Thanks for the idea!!
Fun!!
