Want all the fun of making s’mores, but without the sugar-high afterwards?? These pretend play s’mores are SO easy to make, and they are calorie-free so the kiddos can make (and pretend to eat) as many s’mores as they could possibly want!!
First, make up your pretend campfire — arrange stones in a circle and fill with sticks and colored tissue paper to look like fire!
Next, gather your ingredients for s’mores — you will need graham crackers (recycled corrugated cardboard), chocolate (scraps of brown felt), and marshmallows (cheap cotton balls from the dollar store).
Assemble your s’mores!!
Don’t they look delicious??
Roast your cotton ball marshmallows on your pretend campfire!
Blow on them, if they get too hot! Be careful not to burn your tongue!!
Sandwich the cotton ball marshmallow between the felt chocolate and cardboard graham crackers.
Yum, yum, yummy!!!
Next, do a quick swap w/ cotton rounds and rounded felt squares for MELTED marshmallows and chocolate…. So delicious!!
Serve immediately on “fancy” plates (recycled yogurt lids)
They are ALMOST good enough to eat!!
Then, start the process all over again (and again)!!
Super easy, lots of fun, and very frugal!!

“Rainbow Fish” (1992) & “Rainbow Fish to the Rescue”(1995). Both books by Marcus Pfister and printed by North-South books INC., New York. Then for a craft you could make rainbow fish with 1 or more sequins, depending which fish they want to make.
For a craft with Camping, you could make musical instruments to use around the campfire.; guitar, shakers, rattles, tambourine or bell shakers or bell bracelet, for the wrist or ankle. Shakers can be make with beans, rice, sand, pebbles, or beads in a film container, toilet paper roll (covering the bottom & top) or an empty Pringles potato chip can, etc.

Love these s’mores. Using the cotton rounds is brilliant, much easier than cutting up white felt. I think I will be using them for a variety of crafts from now on.

Love how you find fun an inexpensive stuff, but this has to be the saddest thing ever. I would seriously cry if someone told me I was gonna be making s’mores and then gave me this.
This is so cute! We actually made a campfire and S’mores for Princess’s American Girl Dolls last week that were very similar to these. I LOVE the bigger version for the kids! I may have to surprise mine with a Living Room “Camp Out” this week and make these!
My son’s theme at school this week is camping and they just did a very similar project yesterday. Love it!
