Review and Giveaway — Printies Design Studio Kits

When I was contacted by Printies Design Studio Kits to do a review and giveaway, the concept intrigued me. Emily was able to create her own stuffed animal with very little help from either Mark or me and she was quite happy with the results!

Here’s how it works: First, your child gets to design their own toy using their incredibly awesome software. It’s simple to use, available for Mac or PC, and allows for endless design possibilities. I’m a former Software Engineer, so I’m picky about these things!

Next, we printed out both sides of the design on special Printies fabric using an inkjet printer. No problems lining this up, but there are test sheets provided in the kit just in case.
Emily carefully tore the paper away from the fabric.
Then, it’s stuffin’ time!
Then, we attach the feet to seal the stuffing inside for her toy to be displayed.
She was so proud of herself for making this! She wants to make a few more modeled after storybook characters, which I think is a fabulous idea.
Printies Design Studio Kits come with materials to make six different stuffed toys. They are recommended for kids ages 6 and up, and retail for $19.99 at places like Target, Amazon.com, Toys “R” Us, and Walgreen. Refill kits are available for $9.99.
Now the fun part — 2 Lucky Readers will win a Printies Design Studio Kit of their own! To enter for your chance to win, leave a comment on this post. Be sure to leave your email address in the comments field! Tweet or blog about this giveaway, and you’re in for three more entries. (Just be sure to come back here and leave a comment that you tweeted/blogged about it.) Follow Frugal Family Fun Blog on Twitter, subscribe to our feed, or follow in Blogger and you’re in for three more entries. (Again, leave a comment that you follow or subscribe.)
Giveaway ends Wednesday, September 16th @ 6:30pm EST and winner will be chosen by random.org.
Good luck!!
