Thrift Store Finds — Woo Hoo!

I have been on the look-out for next year’s holiday dresses for the girls, and at the thrift store today I found these gorgeous dresses (in next year’s sizes)!  Aren’t they beautiful? Emily’s cost just $4.99!  Clara’s was $3.99, but they had a sale for 50% off all blue tagged merchandize, making this cute dress just $1.99!! I have found that this is the best time of the year for thrift store finds, since there are tons of un-wanted Christmas gifts (which could turn out to be your treasures).

Did you find something fabulous at a thrift store recently?  I would love to hear about it! Leave us a comment and share your story with us!

  1. nicely done! i’ve found a bunch of candles and costume stuff at thrift stores.

  2. I got a couple of pairs of barely-worn kids’ shoes at the thrift store a couple of weeks ago. I think I’ve never found such nice shoes there before (most of the time kids’ shoes are really worn out there), so I was thrilled to get them for a grand total of $7.

  3. Beautiful!!! Great finds!

  4. These dresses are beautiful! There was a thrift store I used to visit in the UK where all baby clothes were $.40/item. I got Emma some beautiful clothes there, sometimes with the tags still on. I miss that store…

  5. Valerie Deneen says

Wow! Sounds like you are all savvy thrift store shoppers! 🙂

  6. I just managed to get a big stack of silk designer ties for $1.50 each, a lovely leather purse, and I got a STACK of beautiful business clothes for women in a size I can’t wear, but hopefully since they are all in perfect shape and designer, the consignment store will take them and I will get MORE CASH for the thrift store!

Also, check to see if your area has a Blue Hanger store! It’s Goodwill’s outlet store and the prices are a lot more reasonable than the regular thrift stores, which have gotten a little high for my tastes.

    All clothing, $1.25 a piece. It’s great!
