Cheap Thrills — Feeding Ducks

For a fun time that won’t break the bank, visit your local fish hatchery to feed the fish and/or ducks. Ours sells bags of fish food for just $1. Not sure how to properly feed the ducks? Princess Clara will show you how — in just 3 easy steps!!

Step 1: Sprinkle a bit of magic dust into your fish/duck food. Bonus points if you’re dressed up in princess clothes!

 

Step 2: Throw food at ducks.

 

Step 3: Laugh uncontrollably!!!!

(Repeat steps 1-3 as needed.)

Have fun!!

      I think the fish managed to get a few bites… and the ducks were SUPER friendly. I wonder why? 😉

    Great idea! I never thought about going to the fish hatchery just to *feed* the fish…I’ll have to see if ours is still open at this time of year–thanks for the tip 🙂

      It’s great fun! Clara couldn’t feed the fish or ducks without laughing hysterically… she even got the hiccups. 🙂

    She is adorable! When we visit my brother, we feed the ducks near him, and there is one who will jump for food like a dog!

    I have to agree with you, feeding ducks is a great, fun and frugal kid activity. We have a duck pond near our house and the kids can’t get enough of it. 🙂

      I know, right?? Clara has been asking to go back ever since. I had no idea something so simple would make her SO happy! I love stuff like that!
