What do you do when your two year old catches you painting with a bath poof from the dollar store?? Let them join in the fun, of course! While I worked on a project of my own (What’s that? You don’t paint with bath poofs?? Try it, it’s fun!!), Clara set off to paint some clouds. She had SO much FUN!!!
Painting is always a hit around here, but it’s even more fun to experiment with unconventional tools!
Stamping some blue paper with white (washable) paint, she made lots of clouds in the sky….
…then she decided it was time to add some rain drops!!
I love her interpretation of rainy weather — purple rain drops!
Have fun!!
Dear Valerie,
Prince would be so proud of Clara’s Purple Rain.
Love,
Mark
LOL… yup! Love your comment.
Love it. This is a great idea for re-using those falling-apart shower poofs before they hit the trash… or even ones we got as gifts but don’t appreciate their scratchiness π
So true, Michelle! We never seem to run out of those old falling apart poofs. π
I love this and can not wait to try it and share it with my sister who teaches HeadStart in Pittsburgh Area, Pa
Clara is 2 year old? She looks older to me. Maybe it’s her hair style π Very nice project.
Looks like she had a blast! We just did a printing project too! Thanks for stopping by my blog! You are awesome! Love that you have shared your ideas on TV!
oohh what fun! Love this project π so.. what were you making? I want to see that too!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mark’s comment.
What a fantastic cloud! Have you read It Looked Like Spilt Milk by Charles G. Shaw? The two would be a perfect pair!
DUDE- purple rain? And I thought the air in Tennessee was polluted… :0)
cute! She looked like she loved every minute of it.
I love the purple rain drops so much fun.
I bet you could get a similar effect with scrunched up grocery bags.
Love it.. Seems like super fun activity!!
Fun! We were just at the dollar store today and I passed those up. LOL!
I have a question: Did your rss feed change? I get the links, but then nothing loads when I click on them. It just is a blank page. Maybe I’ll try to redo the feed.
That came out so cute. What a great idea using the bath poof!
Love the idea of using the bath poof. Fun clouds, they turned out so pretty!

LOVE this! I am definitely doing this with my youngest. I think she would love painting with those bath poofs outside, too–just “painting” with water all over the place. I’ll be linking on my blog on Thursday–I’d love to have you stop by! π
