I sewed some quick and easy soft pretzels for the girls using just two 9″ x 12″ sheets of craft felt and some stuffing. It’s been a great addition to their fold up kitchen set! The pretzels are just long skinny tubes sewn from the felt (no measuring, just eyeballed it), stuffed (by Mark, thanks, honey!), then bent into a pretzel shape and sewn into place. I sewed on some salt, and cut a strip of yellow felt to be used as mustard. They would be perfect for little handmade holiday gifts or stocking stuffers too!!
Bon appΓ©tit!
Dear Valerie,
Now I am hungry! Thanks! π
Love,
Mark
You’re welcome! π
May I recommend this recipe for Mark to make with the girls… since he is hungry. We have made these many times with my 4 year old and made them this week in the shape of pumpkins. Positively delicious http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/soft-pretzels-recipe
Very clever! I like the mustard – but I prefer mine with cinnamon, and sugar π
Yum!!!
simple and cute – perfect =)
We are big fans of “simple and cute” around here! Have fun!!
I agree with Mark. They look just real enough that now I’m sooo craving some pretzels.
LOL Sounds good to me! Enjoy!!
These look delicious! I think I am going to put a ton of felt food in Sammy’s stocking this year π
How wonderful!! Out of all of the girls’ toys, they love their felt food the most! Have fun — I know Sammy will LOVE it!!
Looks tasty… and rather simple to do. I am sure the girls enjoy them a lot.
Very simple! Thanks so much, Natalie! π
Cheese you dip it in cheese, silly π
Very cute
Oooooooo….. that sounds YUMMY!!!
Very great idea, thanks for sharing! We are always looking for new ideas around here. Glad to have found your blog.
Yay!! Welcome to FFFB! π
I’m hungry now too. I’m with Leah – cinnamon and sugar pretzels, YUM! I also like the garlic pretzels dipped in marinara. Someone get me a pretzel!!!!!!!
ROFL!! They are tasty and good, aren’t they????
Those are adorable.
Thank you, Debby!! xoxo
They would make great stocking stuffers! My kids just had their first football concession pretzels, and loved them. I have a feeling the felt version will be just as popular. Maybe I’ll make a felt beer for my husband’s stocking. π
I LOVE that idea — what fun!!! π
ha who would of guessed. so greative
Thank you!! xoxo
I’ve given you some awards! You can go here to claim them: http://tifanis-mom.blogspot.com/2010/10/yeah-another-award.html
Mo, this totally made my day — thank you SO much!!! π
How creative! I love your ideas and have used several in our children’s Bible class craft time. I think I’m going to make some of these to have at my house when little ones come over. Thanks!
That makes me SO happy!!!!! Have fun, Christi!!
They look very nice, even my Bavarian (part of Germany) husband said that they look very nice and now he feels like one, so that is a big success cause he’s pretty picky on his pretzels, mister connoisseur lol
