Recently, I was given the opportunity to review some fantastic organizational supplies made by Smead. Smead sent us a box with their stadium file organizer and some file folders to keep inside — perfect for use as a Homework Station!
What I love about the stadium file organizer is that it is well-made. It provides compact storage, and does not take up a lot of surface space on the desk. Plus, it holds up to 100 sheets of paper! This would be a great way to keep track of homework assignments, papers that need to be signed, and schedules, especially for families with multiple children. The Stadium File is available online at Amazon, and you will want to get the Smead Super Tab file folders to go along with it….
Choose a different color folder for each child, and keep one folder for items that need to be responded to right away, another for papers that need to be referenced later (as in longer research or science projects). I love that Emily can access her folders easily on her own. It’s never too early to get in the habit of organizing!
I hate running out of room for labeling my files, don’t you? The Smead Super Tab Folders provide plenty of space for labeling, so I can easily find what I’m looking for, and they are made in the USA… Yay!! Plus, they come in super-cute colors!
Disclosure — I was given the Smead Stadium File and Smead Super Tab Folders for the purposes of this review, and I will be compensated with a $20 Target gift card (Yay, Target!!)
Looks cool – lucky you!
Hmmm….You mean my counters do not have to be covered in clutter? Interesting idea.
Great idea! My oldest starts Kindergarten on Tuesday and with 3 other younger children, Organization is not my best quality! I’m gonna need all the help I can get!
Lucky you! I always love organizing materials, and a Target gift card is even better =)
$20 will buy a lot of garage sale dots………
I love the idea of the super size tabs!
that’s way better than what I do here. I love it. I tell ya I’m a mess and needed help. I’m going to try that out and see if it works for me
I love this idea..I’m so tired of having my counter covered in paperwork then searching through the mess for tomorrow’s homework. I’ll definitely be trying this out!
I have a horrible time with papers. Things are always getting lost. Sigh. This looks like a great solution.
Yay Target and YAY for you!
We use something similar for our paperwork, and I only wish we were better at discarding old stuff. I should look at the stadium organizer next year, because right now we file everything in our cabinets, and it’s more “out of sight out of mind” 🙂
Oh, I know what you mean! I try to go through the papers every so often, but it’s amazing how quickly they build up. It’s nice to see everything with this, and be able to find it so quickly.
I love it! It reminds me of the “workbox” system, only way more affordable! I love the idea of each subject having the work for each day, but there is no way I could afford the cool-looking drawers. My girls will gain satisfaction from going through the files, knowing how much is left of their school day by completing the work in the folders, one-by-one.
Organizing my papers will make my kitchen livable again!
Thank you!
I didn’t think about that, but you’re right — it is a lot like a “workbox” system, only much more affordable!!
I love how it tiered. That makes it so much easier to see and use. Very cool review.
The time has come and it’s finally back to school for the little ones. I don’t know how the teachers deal with everything. Here in Florida the schools are so under budget and staffed the teachers don’t even have helpers for the kindergarten and first graders. Now this year some of the local schools are actually asking for parents to provide toilet paper as school supplies. All we can do is hope for the best at this point.
I really like how the folders are staggered, so they are easy to see!
