It rained all day today, so while Clara was napping, Emily and I had a nice pocket of time for some crafting. She worked on some adorable paper dolls, and I put this together — A Mini Pretend Donut Shop!
Clara woke up just as I had finished putting the set together, and we played Donut Shop for hours!!! Emily and I got very specific with our orders so Clara could practice her counting, “I would like one donut with vanilla icing and 4 chocolate sprinkles, please. No more, no less!”
Oh, and she loved pretending to put sugar in my coffee. Did I mention she makes a mean mochachino?
Have fun!!

Dear Valerie,
You need to make a donut with a bite out of it.
Love,
Mark
No, no, I just died of cuteness~! This is most adorable and so smart to have it so they can decorate themselves. So fun! I must make some now.

Super cute, and great idea to make it portable! Emma is standing here and she said, "Mama, that looks pretty cool!"
Very very cute!!!
These are so cute! What a great way to spend a rainy day.
You just happen to have all the materials at hand π I think those donuts are good enough to eat. How fun that you and Emily can work on different craft projects together now.
You make me want to get sone donuts now! Such cute ideas and so easy to put together, our daughter will love playing with these….need to bring out the felt again! Thanks for sharing such sweet goodness!
@ Raising a Happy Child — I really did! Then again, we have a rather large selection of felt in this house. It's quite versatile!
@ MaryAnne — Awwww… that made me smile! π
I love that the icing could be changed out. I'm supposed to be making dog food for my kids toys….. Specifically steak and a bone.
What about a hal-caf, skinny, double shot mocha, triple whip latte?
(OK, that order TRULY contradicts itself…)
Wow! I can't wait to get some more felt and get started! You are so creative!
Now that is adorable. Are you going to make more to sell? You are creative and artistic. You amaze me on a regular basis. Bring the girls over and all of their felt play sets to play with my crew. π
Now that looks like fun!
@ Wonder Mom — Hahaha!
@ Petula — I'm not ruling it out yet. They are fun to make! π
I swear the things you can make of the top of you head, you are a genious. Seriously, these are so freaking cool and look amazing!

That's a fantastic idea! Great gift idea too! I sometimes use take-out containers for our 'restaurant', but they sure don't last long…
