For a colorful and fun project, roll out a long piece of freezer paper, and dip your child’s thumb into some red paint. We used Crayola Washable paint. Make two thumb prints next to each other to make a heart shape.
Have your child dip their pinkie finger into some green paint and write a “W” on top of all the heart-shapes.
It should start to look like a strawberry… like this!
Next, use the opposite end of a paint brush dipped in white paint to make the seeds on the strawberries. This was Emily’s favorite part!!
It makes beautiful and inexpensive Summer wrapping paper!!!

@ Cheryl — Sadly, neither, since it was saturated in paint. 🙁 Poor thing, it never even saw it coming, but for future reference strawberries are a bit too spongy for stamping with paint. Ah welll, live and learn, right? 🙂

I love this! I need to get paper like this. I don't have anything around to use for wrapping paper. I used to love my big role of paper I had in the classroom for murals. I miss it!

this is really cute! do you think this would work with fabric paint and a bit of cotton woven fabric? I was thinking pinking shears to cut squares and adorn canning jars of homemade strawberry jam? Just in time for strawberry season here in northern Virginia. Great idea and what a lovely picture!
This kind of reminds me of my son's preschool fly-swatter art. I think the teacher "stamped" flys on the paper and had the kids "swat" at them with a swatter dipped in yellow paint.
