Emily was so pleased with how this igloo picture turned out, and it was so much fun to do – especially if your child happens to love stickers as much as she does!
To make your own igloo picture, you will need: a package of labels like the ones shown below (very inexpensive), construction paper, glue and scissors.
On a sheet of light blue construction paper, build your wall of ice bricks!
Flip the paper over, draw a half circle, and cut it out.
Cut out a smaller half circle for the opening of the igloo. We cut some of the labels in half to do the brick-work as shown below.
Glue the pieces down, and outline with a marker. Fill in the center of the opening to the igloo. Emily loved watching her picture come to life!
We cut smaller labels and used them for snow.
So much fun!!
That's really cute. A good project for teaching about the different seasons.
An adorable winter craft, and another one I have never seen before! I love these ideas you come up with!

Too Cute!

What fun! Emily is SO good with scissors, but then… she is your daughter π
Another craft I never would have come up with. Thanks.

What a fabulous idea. Good on you .
Awesome idea to go with Snow Bears by Jan Brett! The bears live in an igloo–I am going to link this activity to my review of that book!
@ vanessa — You're so right! That is the perfect book to go along with this… thanks for pointing it out to us! And thank you for the link — I really appreciate it! π

That turned out really nicely. I have some of those labels sitting around too.
I'm stopping by from Just Breathe and she is right-you have some super cute ideas (and little girls!) π I'll have to stop by more often for ideas to do with my little ones!
Oh I love Jan Brett… she is my very favorite. I like this project too… it looks perfect for the youngers. π

It is always such a delight to stop by your blog and see what creative projects you are doing. I love that so many of your projects are toddler proof with stunning results – both the igloo and lantern are fantastic ideas.
Wow, great igloo!
I should try this with C… even if usually more stickers end up on her belly than the paper! LOL
That is just too cute!
This is a fun idea – I love the labels as bricks. My kids would really get into this one!
Great idea and creative use for those stickers, kind of like a paper mosaic without out the glue. Love it.
We finally had a chance to try this. The kids loved it! Thanks. http://fruitofhands.blogspot.com/2010/02/igloos.html
