Wondering what to bring to the park at Universal Orlando Resort? These 10 items can make a big difference towards making the day a great one at the parks!
What to Bring to the Parks at Universal Orlando Resort™:
1. Sunscreen
The Florida sun can be intensely strong. Sunscreen with a high SPF is a must. Look for brands that block harmful UVA and UVB rays. Be sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time, after water attractions, and throughout the day as well. This is one of our favorite sunscreens to have on-hand.
2. Wipes
A travel pack of hand wipes is helpful to pack. We found wipes to be especially useful to wipe hands before having a quick snack while waiting in line.
3. Snacks
Having a few snacks on-hand can make the difference between enjoying a great day at the parks, or enduring a hunger-induced melt-down. Some of our favorite snacks to bring to the parks include: granola bars, juice boxes, bananas, orange slices, grapes, pretzel sticks, and crackers
4. Extra Battery Pack & Changing Cable for Phone
Using my phone to take photos and video footage proved to use up a lot of battery power. Fortunately, with an extra battery pack and charging cable for my phone, I was easily able to charge up while on-the-go! This is one of my favorite portable chargers for trips.
Tip — Use your smartphone to download the Universal Orlando Resort App is a great resource for up to the minute wait times on attractions, maps, and park information.
5. Reusable water bottle
It is important to stay hydrated! Be sure to pack a reusable water bottle for each member of your group. This set of water bottles is great, and it even comes with a tray for the refrigerator. There are plenty of water fountains throughout the park to fill and refill your water bottle throughout the day.
6. Extra Socks
An extra pair of socks can make a world of difference after walking several miles, riding water rides, and being on your feet all day.
7. Good Walking Shoes
I cannot stress the importance of good walking shoes while visiting Universal Orlando Resort! You can expect to be walking and on your feet for almost the entire time. Be sure to wear them for at least a few days prior to your trip.
8. Money for Souvenirs
If you are staying at an on-site hotel at Universal Orlando Resort, your room key can be used to charge purchases. Otherwise, you may want to bring along some money for souvenirs.
9. Lanyards w/ Ticket Holders
Lanyard holders like these are very useful when visiting the parks. If you have an Express Pass, your ticket will be scanned upon entering the park and each time you visit an Express Pass line. The lanyard enables you to have your pass ready instantly while keeping your pass stored safely.
10. Interactive Wands
If you happen to own any interactive wands like this one, be sure to bring them along with you for some unique spell casting experiences at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. If you are new to interactive wands, there are lots of shops and stands throughout Universal Orlando Resort™ to buy your own! Tip – Visit Ollivander’s Wand Shop for an unforgettable wand experience. You may be the lucky one chosen to have a wand pick you!
