Last fall, one of the most popular crafts shared on my blog, Fireflies and Mud Pies, were the Halloween Bubble Wands my children and I created from wire, cookie cutters, and cinnamon sticks. I thought it would be fun to recreate that craft for the apple harvest season. Shared below is how my boys and I made and played with Apple Cinnamon Stick Bubble Wands.

Materials Needed:
- Apple cookie cutter
- 16 or 20 gauge jewelry wire (gold, green, and red)
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Bubble Solution
- Heavy scissors or wire cutters
Directions:
Starting at the bottom of the cookie cutter leaving 4 inches of overhang, wrap the wire around the cookie cutter tightly. Twist the 2 bottom overhangs together and cut. Slide the twisted wires into the cinnamon stick. Play and enjoy!
I was out of homemade bubble solution, so simply used a bowl filled with plain, full-strength dish detergent. My little ones and I played Bubble Catch. To play, blow your child bubbles and invite him to try to catch the bubbles on his wand. Next, try to catch the bubbles he blows. See if you can re-blow the same bubble over and over again!
I love this activity because it can be adapted for any holiday or special occasion. Bubbles are always a hit in our home – no matter the weather or season!
