Here is a quick and easy tutorial for how to make fresh lemonade, one of my favorite simple pleasures of Summer! The kids can help measure and stir to make this simple treat while creating lasting Summer memories right in your own kitchen.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (squeezed from about 6 lemons)
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup superfine sugar
- 3 1/2 cups cold water
- ice
- 1 lemon cut into slices
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, bring the 1/2 cup of water to a boil. Slowly add the 1/2 cup superfine sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
2. Add the 1 cup fresh lemon juice to the sugar/water mixture.
3. Fill a large pitcher halfway with ice, and pour the mixture over top. Stir in the remaining 3 1/2 cups of water, and add the lemon slices.
