Do you hate a messy sink full of dirty dishes? Of course. We all do! Ever wish you had an extra helping hand (or two)? Are you sick and tired of spending all your time doing housework?? Don’t despair, you’ll save lots of time with this simple and easy tip for cleaning!

(Before)
Just call the cleaning fairies!!! They are awesome! First, they come to your house, find the messes, and wave their magic wands. It’s THAT simple!!
The cleaning fairies know all the magic words to get the job done, and they do it all with a smile! Fantastic!!
In no time at all, your messy sink will be sparkling clean, leaving you plenty of time for more important matters — such as drinking tea, chatting with friends, or playing outside. Thank you, cleaning fairies!!
It helps that the cleaning fairies have such colorful crowns and magical wands! Want to make some of your own??
The crowns were made using pipe cleaners threaded with colorful straws cut up to make beads.
This is great practice for fine-motor skills!
The wands can be downloaded for free from the HP site, and printed out on colored paper. They are easy to make, lots of fun, and proven to make cleaning a breeze! Now, if you’ll excuse me…. it’s time to call the laundry fairies.
Have fun!!

Dear Valerie,
Yes, the dishes get clean… but where do they go? Am I going to open a closet door and be crushed by an avalanche of dishes?
Love,
Mark
November 15th, 2010 on 10:58 pm
Ha! See Sharon’s comment below… also, don’t open any closets. Just sayin’.
November 12th, 2010 on 3:58 pm
Silly, Mark. When you see a clean sink, don’t ask questions. Just enjoy.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:01 pm
Yeah, what she said!
November 12th, 2010 on 4:17 pm
Oh, can you send your cleaning fairies to my house?
November 15th, 2010 on 11:02 pm
They make house calls! I’ll send them over!
November 12th, 2010 on 4:31 pm
I really need to get out more of my own boring HP Enterprise business and visit fun HP sites
November 15th, 2010 on 11:04 pm
They have so many cool printables! I could spend all day exploring that site!!
November 12th, 2010 on 4:46 pm
Hmmmm…somehow, I don’t think that would work at my house, but that doesn’t mean I’m not going to try!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:05 pm
It is worth trying! Have fun!!
November 12th, 2010 on 5:05 pm
You guys have so much fun! Thanks for the smiles today. I love the colors, so bright and cheerful.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:06 pm
You’re very welcome, Lisa!
November 12th, 2010 on 5:13 pm
Can you send your cleaning fairies my way?!!!! Although in all seriousness, my kids are getting old enough to help with dishes and load the dishwasher. It makes things a lot nicer.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:08 pm
It’s amazing how much just helping with dishes makes things a lot easier!
November 12th, 2010 on 5:24 pm
I think their evil cousins – the house wrecking fairies – live at my house! Their smiles are just as sweet, but they leave a path of destruction in their wake.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:10 pm
Oh nooooooooooooo!! Yeah, we have one of those too… the two year old is remarkably gifted at un-doing every cleaning effort I make.
November 12th, 2010 on 5:26 pm
I love that pic of the clean sink and a smiling cleaning fairy! Great idea to cut up colorful straws for some fine motor fun!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:11 pm
That was a big hit with both of the girls, and definitely easy enough for Clara to do on her own! Have fun!!
November 12th, 2010 on 6:16 pm
love those cleaning fairies!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:11 pm
Me too! LOL

November 12th, 2010 on 6:28 pm
Do your Cleaning Fairies make house calls?
November 15th, 2010 on 11:13 pm
Absolutely! And they come with a money-back guarantee.
November 12th, 2010 on 6:29 pm
I love your face in the first picture!!!! Hysterical!!!
You are such a fun mom! Adopt me!!!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:15 pm
Thanks, Sofia! xoxo Emily took that photo — she’s getting to be quite the photographer!

Cutest cleaning fairies ever!

November 15th, 2010 on 11:16 pm
Have your people email their people and they’ll pencil you in.
November 12th, 2010 on 7:47 pm
This made my day. I think I need to get some pictures of my cleaning fairies too. Great idea!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:16 pm
Yay!! Have fun!! xoxo
November 12th, 2010 on 11:33 pm
Love the last pic. Hilarious. Love your humor!
November 15th, 2010 on 11:17 pm
Thanks so much, Mena!!
November 13th, 2010 on 12:01 am
Ha ha ha ha! I love Mark’s comment. I could use a few fairies around here.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:20 pm
Dear Christy,
You don’t want these cleaning fairies. I think one of them used my toothbrush and didn’t even tell me.
And then, there was the Great Tuna Casserole Incident. I think that one is going to leave a permanent scar.
Best,
Mark

Do the cleaning fairies make housecalls
November 15th, 2010 on 11:19 pm
They have a tight schedule, but I’ll see what I can do! LOL
November 13th, 2010 on 12:02 pm
Oh my- I do believe I would need an entire fairy army to get my laundry done…
November 15th, 2010 on 11:20 pm
There’s nothing wrong with that! Kids grow up too fast — the laundry can wait.
November 13th, 2010 on 1:30 pm
I think I have gremlins…
I like the idea of using a chenille stem for stringing. I bet this would be easier for my two little ones.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:22 pm
Oh, those sneaky gremlins! LOL
It is much easier for a first beading project — have fun!!
November 14th, 2010 on 11:03 am
Those are the cutest fairies with these most beautiful accessories! Enjoy the clean sink.
November 15th, 2010 on 11:22 pm
Thanks, Petula! I have a feeling it won’t last very long!!

This is funny! I actually did get my 2 year old cleaning her dishes the other day (at her request not child labor!) She washed her dinner plates, bowls, cups and best of all all the lids we had used for painting earlier in the day. I’m definitely going to support her in this activity!! I think for fun we will also make those crowns and wands too…thanks for the instructions and printing link.
