These 4th of July party hats are quick and easy to make! They are a great way to keep the kids busy while they wait for fireworks. Special thanks to Mrs. Mactivity for providing us with this fabulous printable template!! The kids can color their own 4th of July party hats using the black and white template. Or, if you prefer, print out the color template instead for a super quick and festive craft activity!
First, gather your materials.
Thank you to Mrs. Mactivity for providing us with these great printable templates!! Be sure to check out the Mrs. Mactivity website for even more fabulous printables. You won’t want to miss the Summer Activity Packets because they are filled with educational and fun activities to keep the kids entertained all Summer long. Just print and play!! Mrs. Mactivity has lots of other 4th of July-themed printables too! I especially love the 4th of July 3-D rocket craft template.
If you are using the black and white template, invite your child to use colored pencils or crayons to color the party hat. My daughter loves to color, so the black and white template was a big hit with her!
Next, invite your child to use scissors to carefully cut along the dotted lines of the template to cut out the party hat pieces.
Once all the pieces are cut, use double-sided tape or glue stick to attach the straps to the back of the crown. Next, measure the straps against your child’s head. Lastly, attach the straps in the back to fit as needed.
