These Easter egg learning activities are a cute and festive way to encourage plenty of learning fun! After reading this post, you won’t want to throw away those leftover plastic Easter eggs.
For this activity, you will need:
Place one dice in each Easter egg. Invite your child to shake the eggs and roll the dice. Then, write the addition problem on a wipe off board and solve it. For older kids, try multiplication instead.
For this activity, you will need:
Write the amount of money to go into each egg. Invite your child to count out the proper number of coins for each egg. Optional — As a reward, your child may enjoy adding their properly counted coins to her piggy bank once she is done completing this activity!
For this activity, you will need:
Use marker to draw a simple graph on a sheet of graph paper as shown above. Invite your child to use a plastic egg to roll the dice, then graph the result. She may want to use a different colored pencil for each number rolled. Optional — Add up the total number of dice rolls overall.
For this activity, you will need:
Use permanent marker to write the ending of words (ie. -it, -at, -op) on one side of the egg, and several beginning letters (m, f, p, h, s) on the matching part of the egg as shown above. Invite your child to turn the eggs to form various words, and then use a wipe off crayon to write them on the wipe off board.
