As soon as I set out the washable paint, Clara squealed with joy and ran to find her craft apron — a sure sign that this project was going to be a huge hit with her! To make a recycled wreath of your own, you will need: an empty oatmeal canister, Crayola washable paint, a paint brush, and scissors. Start by cutting off the bottom of the oatmeal canister, then making cuts around the top and bottom, but leaving a solid strip in the middle, as shown.
Next, open up the wreath, and invite your child over to paint it up with plenty of green paint!! You may want to add some white paint as “snow” too.
Crayola’s glitter glue is not required, although it is highly recommended for an extra festive touch!
Lastly, allow the paint and glitter glue to dry completely, then add a ribbon!
