I’ve asked the contributors here at Inner Child Learning for their recommendations on books about colors. Here are five of our favorites!
1. How Do Dinosaurs Learn Their Colors?– We love this series of books by Jane Yolen and Mark Teague! Follow along as you discover how dinosaurs learn their colors using items around the house.
2. Mouse Paint– This book is a lesson in color as three mice discover jars of primary paint and the colors they can create!
3. A Color of His Own– Animals have a color of their own. Except the chameleon. As he tries to discover a color of his very own, he learns an important lesson along the way.
4. Press Here– This interactive book asks children to perform various tasks, such as pressing a colored dot or shaking the book. Your kids will be delighted as these actions magically change the next page!
5. My Many Colored Days– This book has a beautiful flow as it describes the colors of days. The beautiful artwork and rhyming style makes this a family favorite!
