No-Bake Winter Forest Treats

Do your kids like to decorate cookies, cupcakes, and other treats? Are you tired of all that baking? Need a kid-friendly activity that is super quick and easy?? Then these no-bake Winter treats are for you!

I liked that this was easy to set up, kept the kids happily entertained for a long time, and dessert was made by the time Mark came home from work. These Winter pine trees are also far less frustrating to decorate when compared to traditional gingerbread houses. Yay for easy activities!!

To make your own edible Winter forest treat, you will need: ice cream cones, cake frosting, and various candies. We used gum drops, shredded coconut, mini marshmallows, and chocolate candies. I wish you could have seen how happy the kids were at the sight of all these treats! They could barely contain their excitement and got to work right away, spending a lot of time decorating each lovely tree!

Invite your kids over to give each ice cream cone a coating of frosting to act as the “glue” for the candy decorations. You can even sneak in some fine-motor skill practice! Once the cones are coated with frosting, they can decorate the trees however they would like!

I love the look of concentration on their faces!

Of course, I couldn’t resist a little treat-making myself! (And some taste-testing along the way… ahem.)

You may want to cut up the cones to make tiny trees, or if you’re like Clara, you may want to pile all of the trees on top of each other to make one ginormous tree!!

Have fun!!
