Emily and I visited WFMZ’s News studio for a fun segment on getting the most out of your time with the kids this Summer, and Emily was a big help with showing all the fun crafts and activities! Afterwards meteorologist Mark Shanaberger invited Emily to help with the weather segment too!! (You can view the clip here.)
She enjoyed giving the weather report SO much, that this afternoon was spent playing “meteorologist” with made up signs and pretend cue cards too! We used a bit of masking tape for the signs, and she was able to move these around for all her weather reporting needs. She used her best “announcer” voice!
We added an old video camera on a tripod for more fun!
Emily was quite pleased to see sunshine in the forecast for this week, and noted that this Wednesday was a particularly good day for wearing a bathing suit and running in the sprinkler!
Now to acquire some maps for her “local radar”……even more fun!
