Bubble Prints

Bubble prints are so much fun! It rained here today, so I thought this would be a good alternative to blowing bubbles outside. I’ve seen this project featured around the preschooler circuit, but I was surprised at how much Emily enjoyed this activity.

To make your own bubble prints, you will need:
1 Drinking Straw
Bubble Solution
Pie Dish
Food Coloring
Fill the bottom of the pie dish with bubble solution about an inch deep. Add a few drops of food coloring. Invite your child over to blow bubbles into the solution using the drinking straw, so the bubbles overflow the pie dish. Be sure to explain not to inhale the bubble solution!
Lay a sheet of paper over the bubbles, and repeat until your paper is covered with bubble prints. It should look something like this….
Experiment with different color combinations! We used blue bubbles with purple paper to make this one, and I couldn’t resist making some bubble prints of my own… Hee hee!
