The LEGO® Movie is about to be released to DVD on June 17th, and my kids can hardly wait! If you’re looking for some great gift ideas for a LEGO® Movie fan in your life, you will definitely want to check out these newest releases from DK that bring the best of the movie to beautiful books that encourage kids to read independently. Books are some of our favorite gifts to give (and receive), and books that involve LEGO® bricks are even better! Here are some of our favorite books for LEGO Movie fans:
1. The LEGO® Movie: The Ultimate Sticker Collection
This sticker book features your favorite characters, vehicles, and locations from “The LEGO® Movie,” with more than 1,000 reusable stickers your kids can use again and again to create their own LEGO® adventures on dozens of colorful pages. My kids LOVED this and it is perfect for keeping them entertained on long car trips or for fun on a rainy day! (Recommended for children age 6 and up.)
2. The LEGO® Movie: Calling All Master Builders
This paperback is part of the Level 1 DK Reader series (a multi-level, expert-designed reading program). The book follows the movie’s storyline while implementing simple sentences, a picture glossary and more to make reading easy for beginners. Great for children who are beginning to read and require some adult participation.
3. The LEGO® Movie: Awesome Adventures
This paperback is a Level 2 DK Reader. My kids loved reading about the movie’s adventures! This book has features longer sentences and increased vocabulary than the Level 1 DK Reader. It’s perfect for children who are beginning to read independently and may require occasional adult participation.
4. The LEGO® Movie: The Essential Guide
This one is my daughter’s absolute favorite! It is the book pictured open in the photo above. This fully illustrated guide to “The LEGO® Movie” explores the characters and locations of the action-packed film with profiles, location spreads, and behind-the-scenes information about how the movie was made. Would make a great birthday gift for any child who loves the Lego Movie!! (Recommended for children age 6 and up.)
