DIY Play Food — Cardboard Gingerbreadmen

Need a Winter boredom buster to keep the kids entertained indoors during frigid weather? Here’s a quick and easy set up for an invitation to create DIY play food (cardboard gingerbreadmen) that is sure to delight! For this set up, I used a gingerbreadmen cookie cutter to trace and cut out several gingerbreadmen. Then I gathered up some leftover crafty bits for decorations. Presenting the materials on an old cookie sheet helped to keep things neat and tidy! I couldn’t resist decorating a few cardboard cookies of my own, so I left them as examples on the tray.

Invite your child to decorate the cardboard cookies!! Clara was so happy to use stickers, googly eyes, rick rack, and pom poms to decorate her very own cardboard gingerbreadmen! They were a fantastic addition to her life-size gingerbread house!!
