Birthday Party for Teddy!

Need a reason to celebrate? Are you up for any excuse to party?? Then a teddy bear birthday party is for you!

One of our teddy bears had a birthday to celebrate recently, and Clara was quite the party planner.

She sent out invitations to all of the birthday bear’s friends, and served plenty of play dough birthday cake.

There was music and singing…

… and presents!! (which were opened and re-wrapped many times.)

Clara helped the teddy bears with a special craft activity to decorate their party hats with stickers.

And they took turns playing games — like pin the gum ball on the gum ball machine!

But the absolute BIGGEST hit of the party was throwing confetti!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TEDDY!!!!!

Ahhh… the teddy bears…. they grow up so quickly, don’t they??

    Dear Valerie,

You’re right about those teddy bears growing up quickly. I think that they’re, um, multiplying. How did we end up with so many??

    Love,
    Mark

  2. Playing party is one of my daughter’s favorite imaginative play scenes. It’s one of the reasons I keep out a few gift bags in the play area. Next time I should ask her if she wants to decorate for the party since your decorations have inspired me.

We played party with her toy horses the other day. I was pretending to be the guests and she was the birthday girl, and so my job was to assemble the gifts. She clearly did not like most of the “gifts” I gathered but didn’t say anything. Once the party was over, she said, “The guests are not here anymore. Can I tell Mama horse about which presents I liked and didn’t like?” I was cracking up since I have told her it’s not polite to say you don’t like a gift in front of a guest, and she took it seriously in our play scene.

LOL!!!! So cute, Rebekah! I love how kids can really get “into” their own little pretend play worlds, and what a great opportunity to teach lessons of graciousness and gratitude. :-)

OK, first of all I love the Teddy bear party! But I am mostly dying to know about the two teddy bears who face away from all the photos, the patterns on them are amazing, are they hand made? If not do you know if they came from somewhere special?

Love the fabric on those two teddies as other ladies have mentioned! I adore the joy on Clara’s face too – she is totally absorbed in the party. One of my favourite things to see:)
