The whole family has been hard at work on our garden — here’s a little update with things we were happy to see!!
We get excited when we find tiny sprouts of lettuce starting to appear! Aren’t they sooooo cute???
And look — potatoes starting to sprout!! Yay!!!
There’s always work to be done, but sometimes I just enjoy playing in the dirt! Don’t tell Mark — he totally thinks I was planting onions…….
….and I visited NBC studios in Philadelphia to show some fun crafts for the garden — perfect for sprucing up the space while you’re waiting for seeds to grow!
Projects from the clip:
Have fun!!

Dear Valerie,
Nice lettuce!
*sigh* If only we had planted watermelons.
Love,
Mark

Looks great! I can’t wait to see similar sights in our garden…we only just got to plant our first seeds yesterday.
I agree that the lettuce sprouts are cute
I’ll be checking out the bird feeders from recyclables.

Your salad is sprouting fast! Good luck with seeing the full fruits of your efforts… eh… play.

What a wonderfully big space you have for gardening! I love how quickly lettuce sprouts and is ready to eat — it makes it easy for impatient gardeners (big or small!) who don’t like to wait for the harvest!

I have all sorts of plants coming up in my garden. The only problem is I don’t know which ones the kids planted and which ones are weeds……..
