Top 10 Posts of 2010 — #10

I thought it would be fun to count down the top 10 posts of 2010! We certainly did lots of jumping up and down this year. If you’re in need of a little mood boost, I highly recommend jumping with the kiddos! It’s free and a great workout too! Coming in at number 10…. jumping posts!!

We did lots of jumping when we found out I had won the Stonyfield Blogger Barnstorming Contest (thanks to YOUR votes!!) — what fun!!

…and again…. just because!

I flew across hotel beds to save the day!!

Emily loved turning our sofa into an ocean!!

With a little sidewalk chalk, we turned our driveway into outer space!

…and even Emily’s bed was not safe from all the jumping!!

And just to make sure my neighbors all know I’ve lost my mind… we jumped in puddles too!!

Jumping is great (FREE) fun!!

  1. Awesome! You are the best mama ever– living in and enjoying the moment with your kids and being a kid at heart. One of the greatest perks of being a mom ever!!
I love the expressions on your daughter’s faces and YOURS! Genuine bliss : )

Merry Jumpy Christmas and Happy Jumpy New Year!!!

    • That’s so sweet, Marylea! Thank you!! Mark and I never really grew up — we’re having far too much fun! πŸ™‚ Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your lovely family too! xoxo

  2. My New Year’s resolution: jump more!

  3. You are going to MAKE me jump on the bed with my kids, I just know it! We’ve just finished up 6 days of rain, I think it’s time to get out the life vests, and blue sheets!

  4. You all look so absolutely happy in each and every photo. Wishing you and your family all of the best and the happiest of holidays.

    • Thanks so much, Anna! It’s lots of fun! Have a wonderful holiday and a very happy new year!

  5. Those memories are so precious – all this happiness caught on film.

    • I didn’t realize how many jumping photos we’ve taken, but we do like to jump a LOT! πŸ™‚ Have a fantastic holiday! xoxo

  6. JDaniel4's Mom says

We love jumping in puddles at my house too. I just need to remember to bring extra socks if we end up jumping away from home.

    • I can relate to that! My shoes were soaked for 2 weeks afterwards — but it was SO worth it!! πŸ™‚ Emily STILL talks about jumping in those puddles!!!!

  7. So glad I’m not the only crazy one out there! I was telling my babysitter when I first hired her, “I’m okay with you establishing your own rules with my kids in your house” and she replied, “Oh, well. I’m sure my rules are the same as yours. They’re pretty standard. You know, no jumping on the couches, no running in the house.” And I replied, “Er. . . well, we actually jump on the couch at my house. And the bed. And we run around the house. A lot.” Needless to say, that babysitter quit after 2 weeks. Ha ha! My kids were just more fun than she could handle!!!!

    • ROFL — We are kindred spirits, Crystal!! Sounds like a lively and fun home! πŸ™‚ Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! xoxo

  8. Love it! My 3-year-old is a crazy jumping bean. When she’s supposed to be napping (she’s growing out of it) she is usually playing in her room and jumping off her bed. Best thing I could do was it just teach her how to be careful and safe about it. Can’t really be w/them at all times and if they want to jump, they’re going to. A pair of rain boots was also a great investment and she gets to jump in all the puddles she wants.

  9. Your an awesome MOM! Just makes me wonder who’s taking all these pic’s

    • Thanks so much, Tricia! If I’m in the photo, chances are Mark took it (although my friend Allison took the photo of me leaping on the bed at the hotel). Otherwise, I took the photos of Emily jumping. I love how happy she looks! πŸ™‚

  10. Love these shots! We’re a furniture jumping family, too. We also encourage a number of other things the neighbors might frown at. πŸ™‚
